Technical Training and Performance Coaching for Females

Nancy Fox applies her performance background in opera, oratorio, operetta, classic musical theatre, concert appearances, orchestra soloist, and recordings.

Educated in Europe and the U.S., she has a wealth of teaching experience, both privately and on the college level.  At her voice studio in Ocean City, Nancy teaches, coaches, and empowers singers of all levels of experience.  Working mostly with female voices, Fox leads singers to develop their own best sound, teaching the technical aspects of singing that allow her singers to excel. She teaches a great variety of styles, but particularly classical music and opera. Nancy creates performance vehicles that help students to grow musically and vocally.  She also encourages the study of drama, Solfeggio, and language diction.

David Gross

Classic Standards & Broadway / Piano

David Gross is accompanist, conductor and musical arranger to the stars with an astounding performance resume. Mr. Gross is a wildly popular teacher for those of you who want to get right to the singing of classic and  popular styles of music.  His students excel in performance skills and confidence.  David is a total pro – highly experienced, and personable – he leads his students to performance level within a semester of study.  He teaches private coaching sessions and a dynamic Classic Broadway class for pre-teens and teens. Students rave about his training, and the confidence inspiring performance directions that erase all stage fright!  Piano instruction by David can be classical and/or reading lead sheets. He also teaches transposition techniques and accompanying skills.

Andrew Hink 

Vocal and Stylistic Training for Current Popular Music

Multi-talented Andrew Hink has a special touch when it comes to the current Broadway scene and pop music.  A  popular accompanist both in South Jersey and the Philadelphia area, Andrew prepares students wishing to learn the current pop music singing style and assists them in making demos and recordings. His students learn a natural way of singing that perfectly fits today's music. Andrew teaches private lessons and "Sing Your Heart Out" classes. He is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

John Pekich

Acting Skills & Performance Preparation

John Pekich is a producer, director, writer and actor who has written and appeared in many Sherlock Holmes and Victorian Mysteries, in Cape May.  He has also produced numerous original plays at the Atlantic Cape Community College, as a member of the College’s faculty.  A novelist with two books accepted for publication in England, he is a recipient of a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Literary Fellowship in playwriting.  He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.  He is available upon request for specific dates.

Technical Training/Vocal Performance Coaching for Males

Bob Snodgrass has an outstanding resume as a music teacher and choral conductor, and continues as a popular instructor in the public school system. His conducting credits are numerous, including serving as Conductor of the Youth Opera of South Jersey. His students regularly appear in leading roles for school, community, and college productions. Many are building music careers that were inspired by his guidance.   Well-known in our community for his generosity and willingness to help in all sorts of musical challenges, he is a kind and insightful teacher, inspiring confidence and a heartfelt joy of singing. His singers win scholarships, contests, and other vocal events, and are regularly featured singers in our area.

Solfeggio (reading music at sight)

The students at Fox Vocal Arts are all encouraged to learn to read music, and other musical skills. Mr. Snodgrass  easily leads his solfeggio class through weekly drills, and builds singers who become musicians! These are the students who are often cast in high school and community performances because of their musical expertise.

Kenneth Young

Operatic Vocal Technique and Coaching

Ken Young is a 25-year veteran of the Metropolitan Opera.  His teaching technique centers on the head voice, in all the registers, smoothing the sound into one aligned instrument. Now teaching and performing nationally as a soloist, he is available for private polishing drills of both technique and repertoire. Spend time with a professional singer from the world's most famous opera company. Sessions in NYC by appointment.

Piano:  Pianist/Conductor Jeff Turner

Jeff leads students of all ages to learn and excel at both classical and pop piano.  He is also available to make arrangements and tracks for singers.
